Highlights: Jordan Spieth carded 5 birdies and an eagle en route to a third-round 69

Jordan Spieth came out in full swing when it came to moving day at the Valspar Championship on Saturday.

Spieth added two more front-nine birdies to take a two-shot lead and birdie the par-5 opening hole at Innisbrook Resort.

After hitting a 343-yard drive to start his third round, Spieth hit his second shot from 218 yards, just 8 feet to the left and sank an eagle putt.

Four holes later, on the par-5 fifth, Spieth hit a driver off the deck and into the front bunker, his second shot traveling 271 yards. He got up and down, rolling in a 5-footer for birdie.

He birdied the par-4 eighth after a bogey in the par-4 seventh and shot a 3-under 33 on the front nine, bringing Spieth to 8 overall.

The former Longhorn opened his back nine with a bogey on the par-4 10th before another birdie on the par-4 550-yard 11th, courtesy of a greenside bunker shot that finished less than 4 feet from the hole.

Two more bogeys at the 13th and 15th were offset by birdies at the 14th and 16th.

Spieth found the par-5 14th in two, setting up an easy two-putt birdie.

At the par-4 16th, Spieth hit his approach shot to inside 5 feet from 163 yards and birdied his fifth birdie of the day to go with an opening eagle.

Spieth bogeyed the 18th to finish the day at 2-under and came home at 7-under for the week. He is one shot behind Adam Schenk’s lead and will be in the final group on Sunday afternoon.
